1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the GoodNote Free Change macOS application, published by ElpisIA.
2. How it works
The application replaces the background PDF of GoodNotes documents (.goodnotes) or fixes form fields in that PDF. Before any write, it creates a backup copy next to the original and only writes after a series of integrity checks; if a check fails, the original file is left intact.
3. License
The application is licensed for personal and professional use, non-exclusive and non-transferable.
4. Third-party trademarks
This application is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by GoodNotes' publisher. “GoodNotes” is a trademark of its owner, cited purely descriptively.
5. Limitation of liability
The GoodNotes file format is not publicly documented and may change. The application systematically refuses to write at the slightest doubt and keeps backups; it is up to the user to check the rendering of their documents after processing and to keep their backups. To the extent permitted by law, ElpisIA cannot be held liable for indirect damages related to the use of the application.
