These terms govern the use of Unformat Pro, a Mac app published by ElpisIA and distributed for free outside the Mac App Store. By installing the app, you accept them.
What the app does
Unformat Pro removes the formatting from the text you copy on your Mac and can convert it to uppercase or lowercase. It types the clipboard content into the frontmost app (⌃⌥V), copies the selected text or the text of an area of the screen you draw (⌃⌥C), and shows or hides Finder's hidden files.
Your use of typing and capture
Unformat Pro types text as you would at the keyboard. Some organizations deliberately block copy and paste in their remote desktops or apps: make sure you are allowed to enter this text there, and follow the rules of your employer or your clients.
Only capture content you are entitled to copy: a document, a video or a remote session may be protected by copyright or by a duty of confidentiality.
Check the typed or recognized text before you confirm it, especially a username, a code or an amount.
Licence
ElpisIA grants you, free of charge, a personal and non-exclusive right to use the app on the Macs you own or control. You may not modify, decompile, redistribute or offer it for download elsewhere: apps.elpisia.com and the ElpisIA shop are the only sources of the signed and notarized app.
Updates
Updates are not automatic: they are published on Unformat Pro's page. ElpisIA may change the app, or stop distributing it, at any time.
Intellectual property
The app, its texts and its visuals are protected. The trademarks mentioned, including macOS, Finder and Citrix, belong to their owners.
Liability
The app is provided as is, without warranty. ElpisIA cannot be held liable for incorrect or incomplete input, a text recognition error, the loss of formatting of copied content, or any use contrary to an organization's rules.
Personal data
The app collects no personal data and makes no Internet connection. Details are in the privacy policy.
