Touchdown is the logbook for professional pilots, on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Log a flight once: Touchdown works out the columns of each of your licences, side by side, and tells you for every figure the rule that produced it.
Built for pilots who fly for real
On first launch, you say what you fly and for which authorities: the form adapts, and everything can be changed later.
- Airline pilots
- Business aviation
- Instructors and examiners
- Military and former military
- Helicopter
- Students and private pilots
Eight authorities, one entry
The same flight gives the columns of every authority you follow: PIC, PICUS, co-pilot, dual, instructor, multi-pilot, night, IFR, FAA cross-country, day and night landings. Night follows each authority's definition and is counted on block time.
"Why this figure?"
Each computed column gives its rule and its source (AMC1 FCL.050, 14 CFR 61.51, RA 2401…): you know why an hour counts as PIC here and as co-pilot there.
Block timer and Live Activity
Out, Off, On, In in one tap. On iPhone, the timer shows in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen, with Off, On and In buttons that log the time without opening the app.
Examiner signature
The examiner or instructor signs the flight on the device, with a finger, a pencil or the mouse, with their role and licence. A flight changed after signing is flagged.
Official PDF logbooks
EASA (AMC1 FCL.050), UK CAA, FAA in Jeppesen and ASA layouts, ICAO, DGCA, Transport Canada, CASA and GCAA: totals brought forward, page totals, signatures and the pilot's certification.
Flight résumé and audit
A one-page résumé in English or French, with your licences, your totals and your hours by type, and an audit of the logbook before the interview: missing function, unknown night, unsigned instruction…
LogTen Pro import
Touchdown reads a copy of your LogTen Pro logbook, never the original, checks the totals column by column, and the whole import can be undone in one step. Importing again never duplicates a flight.
Military flying
Service profiles for the UK (RA 2401), US Army, USAF, US Navy and USMC, Bundeswehr, French Navy and a general profile: duty codes, tenths of an hour, counters, next to your civil columns.
Airport sheet and weather
From any code (ICAO, IATA, FAA, local): runways with magnetic headings, frequencies, navaids, the day's sun times, magnetic variation and your history. METAR and TAF online, and "Airport Info" with Siri.
The globe of your flights
All your routes as great-circle arcs on a 3D globe, "Replay my career", milestones, Year in Flight and passport: distance, trips around the Earth, airports and countries.
Logbook Health
Overlaps, likely duplicates, broken legs, impossible values: Touchdown finds them and opens the flight concerned. Instant search, saved filters, totals for the selection.
Currency
The expiry dates of your licences, ratings, medicals and certificates as rings, and each authority's recent experience as gauges. Widgets on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen.
Your aircraft in pictures
Take photos of your aircraft, or pick the public photo of a registration on Planespotters.net, always with its photographer's name and a link to their page.
A flight fits on one line
Log, check, present
Log
One line, the block timer or the form, simple or complete. Airports are found from any code, the crew is picked from chips.
Check
The preview shows the columns of all eight authorities before you save; "Why this figure?" and Logbook Health do the rest.
Present
Get the flight signed, print the logbook in your authority's format, prepare your flight résumé for an application.
Your logbook stays yours
Touchdown works offline, with no account and no Touchdown server: your logbook lives on your devices. iCloud sync between iPhone, iPad and Mac, off by default, goes through your private iCloud, which ElpisIA cannot access.
Automatic backups are verified with checksums and can be restored to a date; the complete export in PDF, CSV and JSON is free, forever. The details are in the privacy policy.
The pilot remains responsible for their entries. Touchdown helps you keep your logbook; your authority's texts prevail. Airport data is provided without warranty and is not for navigation; the weather is not an official briefing.
- iPhone and iPad with iOS / iPadOS 26 or later; Mac with macOS 26 or later
- Interface in English, French, Spanish and German
- Permissions: camera to photograph your aircraft, Face ID if you turn on the lock; photos are picked one by one in the system picker
- Optional connection: airport weather, public aircraft photos, iCloud sync
