Terms of Use

Version of 22 October 2026, for Touchdown 1.0 on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

The app

Touchdown is offered free of charge on the App Store, with no account, no advertising and no flight limit.
Its use is also governed by Apple's standard licence agreement for App Store apps.
The app is provided "as is". ElpisIA fixes and improves it, with no warranty that it is free of errors.

The pilot remains responsible for their entries. Touchdown helps you keep your logbook: it computes columns under each authority's rules as ElpisIA reads them, and states for every figure the rule applied. In case of doubt, the texts of your authority, your operator or your service prevail.
Printed logbooks follow the layouts published by the authorities or, failing that, a generic layout flagged as such. Their acceptance is for the authority, employer or service you present them to.
Expiry dates and recent experience are a tracking aid, computed from what you enter; they replace neither your official documents nor your operator's requirements.
Airport data (OurAirports) is provided with no warranty of accuracy and is not for navigation: only the official aeronautical publication prevails. Weather (Aviation Weather Center, NOAA) is public information, not an official briefing.

Your logbook is kept on your devices and, if you turn it on, in your private iCloud. ElpisIA holds no copy of it and cannot restore it for you.
Touchdown makes automatic backups and lets you keep a copy outside the device: do so, especially before changing devices. ElpisIA cannot be held liable for any loss of data.
The complete export of your logbook (PDF, CSV, JSON) stays free.

Public aircraft photos belong to their photographers and are shown from Planespotters.net with their name and a link to their page, under that service's terms; Touchdown does not save them.
LogTen Pro is a trademark of its owner, named to describe the import; Touchdown is not affiliated with it.

Do not enter anything classified or confidential under your service's or employer's rules in Touchdown.
Signatures collected in the app bind the people who sign; only have a flight signed with the signatory's consent.
