These terms govern the use of Unformat, a Mac app published by ElpisIA. By installing the app, you accept them.
What the app does
Unformat removes the formatting from text you copy on your Mac and can convert it to uppercase or lowercase. From version 1.1, text capture (⌃⌥C) recognizes the text in the screen area you draw and copies it to the clipboard.
Your use of text capture
Only capture content you are allowed to copy. A remote desktop, a video or a document may be subject to the rules of your employer or of the service you are connected to, or to copyright: make sure copying is allowed.
Check recognized text before using it, especially codes or usernames.
License
ElpisIA grants you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the app on the Macs you own or control, under the terms of the Mac App Store and its standard license agreement. You may not copy, modify, decompile or redistribute the app.
Intellectual property
The app, its texts and its visuals are protected. Trademarks mentioned, including macOS and Finder, belong to their owners.
Liability
The app is provided as is. ElpisIA cannot be held liable for the loss of formatting in copied content or for a text recognition error. To keep the formatting of a copy, pause cleaning or exclude the app concerned.
Personal data
The app collects no personal data and makes no Internet connection. Details are in the privacy policy.
