The community: account, map, forum
- Creating an account? It is free and optional, and the same account works in the app and on the forum: a username, an email address, a password. Confirm your address with the link we email you: you need to before you can post. Nothing received? Check your spam folder. On the website, sign-up asks you to turn on the Google reCAPTCHA check.
- Forgot your password? Choose “Forgot your password?” when signing in, in the app or on the forum.
- The world map stays empty? The map reads the places from our server and its background from OpenFreeMap: it needs a connection. Reload the page a little later; if the problem persists, write to us.
- Rating a place? Open its discussion on the forum, signed in to your account, and pick one to five stars. Clicking your rating again removes it.
- A problem with some content? On the forum, every post has a “Flag” button. In the app, “Report this place”, “Report comment” and “Report this post” alert the moderators, and you can block a member. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
- Deleting your account? In the app, Profile tab, “Delete my account”; without the app, ask through the contact form. What you have published stays online, signed “Former member”: delete first anything you want removed. Details: account deletion.
Finding your car: before you write
- The save button is greyed out? Repoya only saves positions accurate to within 30 m: while the GPS signal is not good enough, the button stays greyed out and shows the signal status. In an underground car park, save just before you drive in, or take a photo of the spot.
- The return arrow points nowhere? It needs the compass. Move the iPhone away from a magnet or a magnetic case, and trace a figure of eight with the device to recalibrate. Without a usable compass, the distance is still shown.
- "You have arrived" never fires? Arrival requires several consistent readings. In a multi-storey car park accuracy swings a lot: trust the distance and your photo.
- The map stays blank underground? That is the signal. Repoya downloads the area around the car right after you save: save before you lose signal. Downloaded areas are managed in Repoya's Settings.
- The app never asks for location? iOS Settings › Repoya › Location, then "While Using the App".
